Board Chair

Shanon is Chair of the One Community Health (OCH) Foundation and passionate about building support for OCH’s mission and ensuring equitable access to care for all. As owner of Saldivar Insurance, she has spent more than 25 years helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate health insurance with expertise and compassion. Her community service includes leadership roles on nonprofit boards like OCH, State of Oregon healthcare committees, and the City of The Dalles Urban Renewal Committee, where she has championed the needs of rural communities. She lives in The Dalles and is the proud mother of two daughters, Electra and Scarlet.

Board Secretary

Jen grew up in Drain, Oregon, and has called Hood River home for more than a decade. She is honored to serve on the One Community Health Foundation Board, inspired by a family legacy of public health and rural family medicine. Jen is a partner at Zelle LLP, where she represents plaintiffs in complex antitrust litigation, helping recover damages from unlawful monopolies and price-fixing schemes. She is also deeply involved in pro bono and volunteer work throughout the Gorge, supporting immigrants, small business owners, and service industry workers. Jen and her husband, Brian, live in Hood River and have two children in college, both of whom intend to continue the family legacy of serving others as healthcare providers.

Board Treasurer

Christine serves as Treasurer of the One Community Health (OCH) Foundation Board is the OCH Health Informatics Director. Her professional experience spans public and university libraries, financial technology services, and more than 20 years in healthcare IT. Since joining One Community Health a decade ago, Christine has helped build and lead the Health Informatics team and supported the 340B drug discount program. Notably, she pitched OCH leadership on fundraising and starting a foundation in 2022, and now her dream has come to fruition. Her passion for philanthropy includes work with libraries, hospice organizations, and cancer centers. Christine lives in Cascade Locks with her husband, Ryan, in a multigenerational household.

Board Member

Sherry is the Founder and CEO of Talence Group, a nationally recognized executive search and leadership advisory firm. Throughout her career, she has partnered with boards, CEOs, and executive teams to recruit exceptional leaders and guide organizations through growth, leadership transitions, succession planning, and organizational change. Sherry believes effective leadership is essential to thriving communities and successful missions, a belief that inspired her service on the One Community Health Foundation Board. She is passionate about supporting access to quality, compassionate healthcare throughout the Columbia River Gorge. Outside of work, Sherry enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, running, surfing, and mentoring emerging leaders.

Board Member

Dan serves on the One Community Health Board and as a liaison to the Foundation. A Columbia High School graduate, he spent more than 30 years in journalism, editing several Columbia Gorge weeklies and The Dalles Chronicle. He later joined Columbia Gorge Community College, leading external relations, legislative outreach, grants, and foundation activities while helping establish the Latinx Advisory Council. Dan also managed major projects, including the Columbia Gorge Skills Center and Chinook Student Residence Hall. After nine years on The Dalles City Council, he became the City of The Dalles’ Economic Development Officer before retiring. Dan and his wife, Michele, live near White Salmon and have two daughters, Melissa and Kathryn.

Board Member

A proud US Army combat veteran, Ian's life journey is as rich and diverse as the lands he cultivates. His experience spans continents, having lived and worked in Spain, South Korea, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Kenya. Today, Ian is the owner-operator of a farming operation, cultivating approximately 150 acres of cherries in Wasco and Klickitat Counties. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Management from Oregon State University (OSU) and serves on the Advisory Board for the OSU Mid-Columbia Agricultural Research and Extension Center. He is also the Chairman of the Oregon Sweet Cherry Commission, former Chairman of the St. Mary's Academy School Advisory Council, and a former OCH Board Chair. Ian lives in The Dalles and is a devoted husband and proud father of five.

Ex Officio Board Member

Jennifer is Chief Executive Officer of One Community Health (OCH), a Federally Qualified Health Center serving communities throughout the Columbia River Gorge, and Ex Officio Board Member of the OCH Foundation. After joining OCH in 2019 as Chief People Officer, she led efforts to strengthen workforce development, equity-focused programs, and organizational culture. As CEO, she has overseen the integration of NorthShore Medical Group, launched Oregon’s first dental apprenticeship program, and helped earn OCH recognition as a Top Workplace four times in five years. Jennifer brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in healthcare administration and human resources and holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys kayaking, cheering on the Seahawks, and traveling to learn about communities and cultures around the world.
